HAMILTON POINT SUPPORTS "CORKS FOR KIDS" BENEFITTING NC CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL
September 25, 2010
On September 25, 2010, Hamilton Point joined Corks for Kids to raise funds for the UNC Children's Hospital. Corks for Kids, a two-day dinner and wine-tasting event featuring winemakers from Australia, New Zealand, Oregon and Spain, raised over $93,000 for the North Carolina Children's Hospital in Chapel Hill with wine orders still arriving and adding to the goal.
Chapel Hill has given so much to Hamilton Point that it is only natural that we return thanks by toasting the good works of UNC's Children's Hospital. When Andy Burns and Rick Woods co-founded Hamilton Point, Chapel Hill was the clear choice for locating our business, but more importantly centering our families. We have UNC to thank for educating our Tarheel-born spouses—vintages '79 and '98—and two of Andy's children currently enrolled at UNC. More recently, Rick's son was born at UNC Hospital. What better way for us to say "thank you" than to tip a glass of fine wine among friends in UNC's honor.
