Andrew C. Burns
President, Chief Investment Officer

Mr. Burns has 30+ years of experience in the corporate finance and investment management industries. Before co-founding Hamilton Point, he served as Chief Investment Officer of Strategic Investment Advisors, Inc., a firm managing over $500 Million in assets. Previously he was an investment banker providing mergers, acquisitions and public offering services to corporations located in the Southeast. He also writes an Investment Newsletter known for its independent, prescient view of market conditions.

Mr. Burns serves on the corporate board of ECR International, Inc. of Utica, NY, as well as the Alumni Council and Town Gown Fund of Hamilton College.
He is a member of the Clinton School Foundation and previously served on the board of Hospice and the United Way.

Richard S. Woods, CFA
Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Woods has over 10 years of experience in the corporate finance and investment industries. Before co-founding Hamilton Point, he served as a Senior Manager of Finance & Deal Analysis for CNN Worldwide. Prior to that, he served as an Associate with Chatham Capital, a mezzanine investment firm. Mr. Woods has also worked as an investment banker providing mergers, acquisitions and corporate finance advisory services to corporations located in the Southeast.

Mr. Woods has previously been involved with IFC Community Kitchen, Children's HopeChest, Habitat for Humanity and Carolina Cross Connection.

Martha H. Ford
Operations Manager

Ms. Ford has over 25 years of experience in the brokerage/financial services industry. Prior to joining Hamilton Point, she served as a Registered Sales Associate at Deutsche Bank Alex Brown, supporting three client advisors with over $200M in assets under management. She passed the FINRA Series 66 (Uniform Combined State Law Exam) while working at DBAB. She earned the NASD Series 7 General Securities Registered Representative License and passed the Series 63 Uniform Securities Agent State Law Exam during her tenure at Wachovia where she served as the Investment Portfolio Accounting Manager, providing detailed accounting, management and regulatory information to over 300 downstream correspondent financial institutions.

Ms. Ford has previously served on the Board of Elders at her church and the SunGard User Advisory Committee.

Matthew R. Maloney
Investment Associate

Mr. Maloney completed his undergraduate degree in economics in 2010, and has since been developing his skills as an investment professional. Before joining Hamilton Point, he worked as an analyst at Belltower Advisors, where he supported operations and investment activities for a natural resource-focused long/short equity hedge fund and for a long-only equity product. His background also includes an internship with SRECTrade, an online exchange for renewable energy assets.

Mr. Maloney enjoys the outdoors and is a member of several non-profits which support the preservation and sustainable development of outdoor recreation areas in the United States. As an undergraduate he worked with the Community Empowerment Fund, a University of North Carolina student-run microfinance project.
